审题：对于材料，首先要整体把握。材料作文所提供材料是写作的依据，包孕着文章的主旨，写作者必须把握住材料的中心。它是你文章的灵魂。简单的说材料的主旨就是你要写的议论文的论点，你所写的记叙文的中心思想。先根据材料中抓住关键词语，可以从肯定、否定和辩证地看待三个角度入手，分析归纳出一个鲜明的结论。若关键词语不明显，还可以通过因果、辨证关系来推主旨，最后要联系现实。审题时还要把握材料中作者的情感，是褒是贬。
立意：1.横向立意就是在思考问题的过程中，思维顺着原材料所告诉读者的指向去考虑。如“近朱者赤，近墨者黑。”我们可以按照这个方向去思考，立意为外因对人的影响。 2.假设推理(逆向立意)就是在原材料已知内容的基础上，对原材料作合理的假设(正反)，进行恰当的推理、引伸。如“近朱者赤，近墨者黑。”我们可以立意为“近墨者未必黑”。 3.类比立意就是通过联想，把材料的已知内容同材料外的其他内容(最好是当前的实际)由此及彼地联系起来考虑，找出其中的相似点。材料三：这是一则禅宗故事。从前，有一位少年，渴望练就一身超群的剑术，便千里迢迢来到一座仙山求教于一位世外高人。这位少年一心想早日成名，跪拜之后，便说：“我决心勤学苦练，请问师傅需要多久才能学成下山？”师傅答道：“十年。”少年嫌太长，就说：“假如我全力以赴，夜以继日，需要多长时间？”师父说：“这样大概要三十年。”少年大吃一惊：“为什么全力以赴反而要三十年呢？”师父不答。少年又说：“我一定要不惜一切代价，拼死拼活修练，争取早日成功。”师父说：“那么，你就得跟我学至少七十年。”少年冥思苦想，良久，终于大悟。联系现实有无类似的现象，才发现比比皆是，如现实中许多家长费劲心思把子女变成天才，急功近利，妄想一步登天，结果可想而知。4.辨正立意材料作文的观点最能体现考生的思考问题的能力，辨证地看问题，辨正地立意也就最能显出文章的深度。材料四：有一只蚂蚁爬墙，六次失败了，可是它还是延远路向上爬，一人说：“多可敬的小蚂蚁。”第二人说：“多么愚蠢的蚂蚁。”第三人说：“多么可悲的小蚂蚁。”你怎么认为？请根据材料写一篇议论文。这篇可写“持之以恒”，可写“变一条路”，但是“变通与坚持”更出采。

模板一：直陈观点，以例佐证
观点：More haste, less speed. Before moving to the next step, one needs a practical consideration on what he has already achieved. （欲速则不达）
From my point of view, we should do everything step by step. One often fails without good preparation.
