Description of design：
本课是一节以“gift giving”为话题的听说课。根据听说课教学中可理解性输入（听）和可操作性输出（说）的原则，拟以“tell my story”为背景，在听前活动中，通过“I do”环节，激活图式，同时和学生建立融洽关系。在听中活动中，先给出方法指导：边听边对核心关键信息进行记录，完成听力任务。在听力任务完成后，通过复述达到巩固听力的效果。在听后的拓展活动中，拟通过影片的播放，继续巩固目标技能，同时帮助学生认识“gift giving”核心价值观所在。最后，通过“tell my story”环节设置，让学生在情景中运用相关语言知识，进行围绕话题的自主表达，形成综合语言运用能力。
Teaching aims:
1. 语言知识目标：Students can give suggestions by using:
What/How about…? Why don?t you…?
And make comments by using: That?s too…/ That?s not… enough.
2. 语言技能目标：Students can give the suggestions and make comments about gift giving in different ways.
3. 学习策略目标：Students can get the specific information about ?for whom,how,what? while listening.
4. 文化意识目标：Students can learn that the gift giving is different in different countries. 5. 情感态度目标：Students can learn that Some presents are never too small and It’s the
thought that counts.
Teaching method:
Task-based teaching
Module One: Pre-listening
