Abstract]Throughabundantdataofseism,drilling,logging,mineral,geochemistryandphysicalproper-[
ties,itisconcludedthattheshaleofPaleogeneEs1,LowerEs3andUpperEs4inBonansub-sag,JiyangDepres-sionischaracterizedbywidedistributionandhighabundance,bettertypes(mainlywithtypeIandII)andwidematurityrangeoforganicmatter,withamaterialbasisfortheformationofshaleoilandgasinalargescale.Mean-while,thelowcontentofclaymineralandhighcontentofbrittlemineral(mainlywithcarbonate)inthe3setsofshalearefavorablefortheexploitationofshaleoilandgas.Inaddition,thehighpressurecoefficientandthedevel-opmentofdifferentmicro-poresandmicro-cracksintheshalearealsofavorableforthepreservationofshaleoilandgas,becausethereticularstoragesystemiseasytoformunderthiscondition.Accordingtotheoilandwatersatura-tiondata,theupperofNo.12layertoupperofNo.13layerintheLowerEs3formationarethefavorablelayersforshaleoilandgasexplorationinBonansub-sagbecauseoftheirhighoilandgascontentinunitrock.Especially,asthemostfavorablerocktype,thelamiatedargillaceouslimestonecouldbeeffectivelyexplored.
