Nowadays, there are more and more students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. As far as I am concerned, I would like to send my child to study abroad. There are several reasons for me to do so.

First of all, students studying abroad can learn the advanced new knowledge and the new way of thinking. I want to send my child abroad to study not only because of the new and plentiful knowledge, but also of the different ways of thinking. These new things together with what have been learned in the homeland would make a student develop in full scale and have a better understanding of the world.

In addition, when students are studying abroad, they will contact with students from all over the world and surely they will become friends. Hanging out with his friends, my child will not only gain pleasure but also gain knowledge from them during the communication and association, as they will talk about the history of their own country and customs of their people. Moreover, they will also help each other in their study and daily life, all of which will benefit the students.

Last but not least, students abroad may grow more independently. As they do things all by themselves, they could get rid of protection from their parents and learn how to face difficulties all on their own, which help them grow more independently.

Studying abroad, students could harvest a lot due to the reasons above. In conclusion, there are many students who choose to attend schools or universities outside their countries. If I have the chance, I will definitely send my child to study abroad.

2. Practice/Task

Topic: Although some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies. There is still belief that young children should spend most of their time playing. Write a 250-word composition on this topic, telling the readers how do you think.

There is a heated discussion about when children should begin to study. Some people think that children should start learning as early as possible. Others, however, argue that young children could begin to study late. As far as I am concerned, young children should spend most of their time playing and not begin studying too early.

Although I agree there may be one or two advantages for children to begin to study early, I insist that the advantages of learning late far overweigh them. In the first place, people who spend most of their time playing could be more creative. Learning more means that children can know more, but also means more restrictions put on them. If children play more, they may find many things interesting in their playing and raise many questions, which help them to study and work creatively when they grow up.

In the second place, children could be more anxious to learn when they grow up if they spend most of their time playing. It is known that children like to play. Even if parents force them to sit at a desk, they cannot concentrate on their study. Instead, they keep thinking how to finish their work as soon as possible and believe they are studying for their parents. But children who spend most of their time playing do not hold resentment against study. When they grow up, they

will be willing to study even if parents do not monitor them, because they feel that they are studying for themselves.

In conclusion, I believe that young children should play more not only because they will be more creative, but also because they will be more anxious to learn when they grow up. Therefore, I strongly hold that all parents should not push their young children into studying too early.
