e.g. The flight is fully booked.

We are fully booked for all types of rooms on that night.

available

adj. to be had 可以得到的,可以买到的

e.g. We have a single room available.

我们有一间单人房间可以租(给你)。

All our products are available by mail order.

我们的商品都可以邮购。

availability

n. 有效;有益;可利用性;可得到的东西(或人)

e.g. Before travelling we must ensure the availability of petrol

and oil.

旅行前,我们必须确保能够买到汽油和机油。

3.2 Explanation of important sentences.

John had just finished his ice cream when he felt a pain in his mouth.: No sooner had John finished his ice cream than he felt a terrible toothache.

had just done … when:

no sooner had … than…

e.g. She had just finished when someone knocked at the front door.

她刚准备就绪,就听到了一阵敲门声。
