（1）own作形容词时，意为＂自己的＂，一般放在物主代词之后，用以强调＂某人自己的＂。
Every dance has its own rhythm. 每个舞蹈都有它自己的节奏。
I saw it with my own eyes. 我亲眼看见的。
I decided to have my own shop. 我决定开一家我自己的店。
（2）own作代词时，意为＂自己；亲身＂，常用于下列短语中：
①of one’s own意为＂属于某人自己的＂，of前常为名词或不定代词。
We have no house of our own. 我们没有自己的房子。
He has nothing of his own now. 他现在一无所有。
②on one’s own意为＂独自，单独；独立地＂，在句中作状语。
He didn’t get any help and had to complete the work on his own. 他没有得到任何帮助，不得不独自完成这项工作。
③with one’s own意为＂用某人自己的＂，own后接名词。
Remember to do everything with your own ideas. 记得用你自己的想法去做每一件事。
