Thank you for your letter. You asked my family. I live with my parents in an apartment in a district in the west of Beijing North Railway Station and also quite near the place called Guan Yuan. Where there is a big wholesale market. Beijing has many old monuments, temples and palaces, but it is also a very modern city. There are wide avenues and modern office buildings. I took this photo to give you an idea of how the area looks. As you can see, the streets are busy and there are bicycles everywhere! My mother was born here. She says it looks different now. When she was a girl, there were no fast food restaurants. Now, as you can see, we have a McDonald s on the corner! When my mother was young, there was no Internet. Now we have computers at school. And there is a lot to see in Beijing. Two weeks ago, my parents and I went to Beijing zoo. It is near my home.
