UPS UPS evolved over time from a messenger service and common carrier into a leader in global supply chain management. Today, UPS owns 268 aircraft (and leases another 307) to provide express airfreight service to over 200 countries. In addition to its major hub at Worldport in Louisville, Kentucky, UPS operates major hubs in Cologne/Bonn(Germany), Taipei (Taiwan), Pampanga (The Philippines), Ontario (California),Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai (China)—and is developing an intraAsia hub in Shenzhen (China). Worldport has been expanded several times and now occupies a 4 million square feet distribution center (approximately 40 hectares) with the capacity to sort over 300,000 packages per hour.上海海事大学高洁
