Hazardous Analysis and Security Measures on the Production
Process of PVC
Abstract: inflammable, explosive and poisonous chemicals were involved, such as acetylene , hydrogen chloride, tourmaline, etc. The synthetic of vinyl chloride through tourmaline conditions. If the reaction system was out of control, major accidents would readily to be occured, such as fire、explosion and poisoning. Therefore, it's necessary to analyze the hazardous factors during the synthesis of PVC. First, this article analyses the synthetic streamline, chemicals and equipments in the synthesis of PVC. The analysis was acquired with hazard and operability study, failure mode and effect analysis, DOW fire & explosion index, operating conditions risk assessment method, respectively. Then some specific and preventive measures to avoid accident were provided. Finally，standardized, the causes of real accidents were analyzed in this article and the lessons were summarized. Some technical and control measures were proposed to minimize the hazardous factors during the synthesis of PVC.
