college. However,Recently, the increasing students around me are under the heated discusion about the issue whether to work or to further their education.I am always holding the opinion that it is a long-running debate. when it comes to my part,i'm in favor of the opinion to be a job-hunter.

The majority of my classmates argue that it is the high time to continue education as the following reasons.First, there is no need for them to be troubled by finding jobs.Instead of it,they can still spare good time on compus. In addition, they might be pide of themselves for their higher degree.

As to the students who choose to work after graduation, they will surely face with some troubles or some strains given by society. Therefore, during the college time ,they will spare no effert to get enough work experience to enhance their interpersonal skills, which may put them in a favorable position in the future. Many experts point out that part-time experiences during one's college times will contribute derectly to success life of a person.

A survey shows that more than 50% college students will lose finding jobs when they enter the society. Thus since every student will end with working, the earlier accumulating the work experince ,the more special abilities or skills you will have.

To be frank, the kneely competitive and challenging century is here with us,i hope everyone will find a good beginning after graduation from the university. And try to be a qualified master of the 21th century.

四川地震

The earthquake in Si-chuan province in China The terrible turn of events of May 12, 2008 caused a physical upheaval of China and emotionally shook the rest of the world.

Approximately 65,000 dead, 40,000 missing, 350,000 hurt and almost 5 million people displaced. Incredible numbers even for the most populated country in the world like China. This earthquake was the most devastating quake since the one that rocked us in 1976. That one in XXX had an estimated quarter million people dead. Going back in history, there’s a long litany of disasters that have hit us.

During the middle days of May, I cried three times. The first one came the day after on the 13th when I heard of the tragedy and the news reports started throwing out these numbers like they were reading gas prices. “My God!” I screamed at the television, these are people’s lives. It will take years for some to recover, as they lost not only family members, but many lost all their possessions.

The second time I cried was watching the images of little children alone, hurt, maimed or even killed. These kids will grow up without a mother, father or both. Some parents are too old or distraught at the thought of trying to have another child as their one and only perished. Nothing like this has ever happened to me and I hope it never will. I have no reference as to what or how they feel. These people will need counseling for years.

The third time tears came to my eyes was watching the relief efforts. As I looked and listened to the television, what struck me was who was there to help. Of course I knew the Red Cross would arrive in an instance. The list of aid from so many countries both historical friends and foes overwhelmed me. The food, blankets and tents, drinking water, machinery, the list was impressively endless. All I could say was WOW. I expected foreign help but not this magnitude. The vigils, prayers and support were required, but the labour and goods was most needed. It proves how we can put aside our differences and tend to the important matters at hand. China has

often answered the call to aid others and I’m proud of that. It made me well up knowing the favour was returned not with a sense of paying back a debt, but with the awareness of helping your fellow man in a crisis.
