Burbankje Olberg from California the USA designed the longest car in the world. It is about 30.5 metres long with 26 wheels (轮子). It looks like a small train.

This English man is John Clarkson. He is good at cooking hamburgers. Look! The hamburger is 1.6 metres tall. It is made of bread, potatoes, vegetables and so on. The building in Slovakia is like a Rubik’s cube (魔方) in the ice. It has lots of rooms and restaurants. It’s a cool place for visitors. They can have a good time there. Rafflesia arnoldii (大王花) is the largest and smelliest (最臭的) flower in the world. So it can attract insects, such as flies to carry pollen (传播花粉). It has no leaves, stems or roots. It is a kind of parasite (寄生生物). Fun facts Amazing things 【语法小贴士】 1. Ants can smell things well.

smell为实义动词,意为“闻……”,其后直接加名词。

e.g. 闻闻这牛奶。它是不是变坏了?________ ________ ________. Does it go bad? smell可做连系动词,意为“闻起来”,其后跟形容词。

e.g. 这盘鸡肉闻起来很鲜美。尝一尝吧。The plate of chicken ________ ________. smell可做名词,意为“味道”。

e.g. 房子周围的花味道很香。The flowers around the house have ______ ______ ______. 2. We need to keep our house clean.

此处结构为“keep + n. + adj.”,意为“保持某人或某物……”。 e.g. 我们应该多种树来保持空气清新。

= I am no more afraid of animals. / I am afraid of animals no more. not … any more = no more,意为“不再”、“再也不”。 e.g. 你不再是个孩子了。
