My First Day in College
With heavy luggage in my hands, I walked into my new school, Xidian University.
My first impression of Xidian University is that it is really large and its beauty is beyond description, except for the shortage of trash can and bench. To be frank, my new campus looks like a big garden, so I can not tell the direction on my first day in college.
As a freshman, I was a little nervous when I came to the new school. I can not imagine what my life will be like in the coming days because of all the new things around me. What’s more, I feel homesick for the first time, and I missed my mother very much.
Everything in college is new for me, new classmates, new teachers, new campus, and even air there are new for me. However, I have nothing to do but accept it. I am supposed to adapt to the new environment but not continue the endless complaints. I must learn to communicate with the new classmates and other new faces, although I am shy and nervous. I need to change my mind and change these strangers into acquaintances and friends.
Nevertheless, the food there is delicious and there is a great variety of foods on the menu, which makes me satisfied. Anyway, my new campus is good for my study because it is free from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.
Though I have a difficult time adapting to the new school life, I will make every effort to live a both enjoyable and interesting school life.
