27.(8分)Dear Dr. Know,
My brother is going to be 11and I am 14. My brother and I always get into fights. Whenever he does something wrong like hitting me, messing my room or taking my toys, he never gets in trouble. But when I do this kind of things, I'm always grounded and it's not fair.
I tried talking to my parents about this and all they said was that they would try harder. However since they said this it has never happened. I don't know what to do. I sometimes just try to get on the computer and there he goes. He starts saying he wants to use the computer even though we have 3computers in the house. But all that my dad says is to get off only for 30minutes. I keep telling him that he can use the computer downstairs but he complains( 抱怨) that he is too scared. I've talked to my friends about this and they don't know what to say. I've tried talking to him and being nice to him but it didn't work. He just doesn't stop. He's making my life terrible! My dream is to have an understanding brother. What should I do for that? Help me please! Kelsey

28.(8分)I arrived at the 57th St. Subway Station in New York City at about 10p. m. one evening on my way home. The platform (站台) is long and there weren't many people around. I could hear the weak sound of a violin. As I listened, it appeared to be coming from the other end of the station and it sounded like Mendelsohn's violin concerto(协奏曲) without the orchestra (乐队). I took a walk along the platform until I reached where the sounds came front. There was a young man playing the concerto and playing very well too. A small crowd had been there to listen and had become so interested in the music that they were letting trains go without getting on them. More people came to listen as a few passengers got off each train. At the end of the piece there was a stormy cheer from the listeners and we all left some money for him. I wanted to hear more, so I asked him to play the Bruch concerto, which he did while I let several more trains go without me. I finally went home, feeling the pleasure of such music.
A few weeks later, I read an article in the New York Sunday Times that a talented young violinist had been \picture of our 57th St. violinist. He had been offered a job with the orchestra of the New York City Opera.

29.(8分)The health risks of smoking are well known, but kids and teens continue to smoke. Many young people pick up the habit every year﹣in fact, 90% of all adult smokers started when they were kids.
You might wonder why people smoke at all. Many people start smoking when they are kids or teens and they try it for many reasons. Maybe all of their friends were doing it or they grew up in a house where all the adults smoked. On the other hand, kids started smoking in order to look cool, act older, lose weight, or feel independent.
But no matter why they started, many smokers ( men, women, boys or girls) wish they could stop. Stopping smoking is hard, though, because there is nicotine
