If you see traveler Lara Miller’s page, it is hard not to be amazed by the photos posted there. But what sets her photos apart from others’ is the unbelievable story behind the pictures. The Australian was on an degenerative (退化的) eye condition when she was 18 years old. She is going blind. However, instead of letting that hold her back, she has decided to see as much of the world as possible before it’s too late.

She has so far visited 19 countries with her husband, seizing all the moments that caught her attention. “I take the photos that not only inspire me, but also don’t hurt my eyes with harsh (刺眼的) light,” she said. “I catch the scenes that make me feel something or that tell a story. I love autumn, winter, doors, cafe scenes, animals, interesting clouds and farms.”

The pair travel at a slow pace, which allows Lara to adjust to new locations and become confident and familiar with the surroundings. She rests every few days, so she doesn’t get too exhausted. Her husband is always on hand to guide her when she walks with a stick. “Traveling slower is not only beneficial to my health, but it also enriches our experiences by allowing time to find special moments for photography (摄影), connect with people and animals and experience daily life,” she said.

Recently, with the help of Internet, her husband is able to work remotely around their travels, and Lara has managed to bring out a book of her pictures. She recommended to the people eager to travel, “Start small if you need to, take a month off and explore a new country.”

The pair are now based in Australia but move around every month or so for work, fun, family and house-sitting. They are determined to enjoy every moment to the fullest. 25. How is Lara Miller different from other travelers?

A. She has been to up to 19 countries. B. She posted many pictures on the Internet. C. She caught the moments drawing her attention. D. She visited the world with her eyes going blind. 26. What’s the benefit that her slow visit brings her?
