第一部分 Sync Channel & paging Channel 1.1 Sync Channel Message
Sync Channel Msg 使手机与系统时间同步,考虑fading margin Sync Channel 的速率一般为1200bps。Sync Channel Msg 一般出现在两种情况下:一是每次通话结束时需重新同步,此时ms可能因为长时间的通话而与系统时间偏差较大;二是在ms从初始化状态到搜索导频以后,即切换、切换失败后或者关开机以后,此时ms需重新同步到系统。手机在初始化状态后,Rake接收机的搜索器会搜索从0到511全部的PN导频信号,然后确定最强(Ec/Io)的PN作为Reference PN,进一步解调同步信道。手机通过Sync Channel Msg确定系统时间、导频信道、寻呼信道的寻呼速率等参数,然后转入空闲状态,等待寻呼消息。如果手机在15秒之内无法完成搜速导频的过程,则重新初始化。
Sync Channel Msg 中包含protocol revision level系统版本信息、Minimum protocol revision系统允许接入的最低版本手机(其值的具体含义为1:IS95, 2:IS95A, 3:TSB74, 4,5:IS95B, 6:IS95C/CDMA2000)。Paging Channel Data Rate指的是寻呼信道的速率,寻呼信道的设定和网络负荷有关,如果网络负荷较大(寻呼量较大),则设为9600;如果寻呼负荷较小,则设置为4800bps,此时网络运行更加稳定。

SID、NID是帮助手机实现漫游功能的、当手机收到的NID、SID与手机注册登记的NID、SID不匹配的时候,手机产生漫游。SID = service provider idenfication number、NID = MSC idenfication number,SID下可以有多个NID.

paging channel 含有两类消息类型,分别是开销消息和寻呼消息: PAGING CHANNEL -- System Parameters Msg
所有消息均有config_msg_seq,ms只可管理一个ACTIVE PN,根据config_msg_seq确定是否需要搜索此系统消息。手机在两种情况下会重新更新系统消息,一种是MS收到新的config_msg_seq值,第二种是MS保存的config_msg_seq超过600秒没有更新,此时MS会重新搜索系统消息。系统参数消息是以扇区为单位下发给手机的,不同的扇区具有不同的系统参数设置。系统参数消息中包含有手机位置更新消息、所属SID/NID、切换的各种参数等。有关切换的各种参数在HDM、UHDM消息中也包含有。
MAX_slot_cycle_index是系统下发的寻呼周期,MS也有自身的寻呼循环周期,MS对比两值,取最小的值作为手机搜寻寻呼消息的周期。
