Examination-oriented education leading to
bankruptcy for nation innovation
Before my speech,l want to ask everybody,who has experienced Examination-oriented education, a question :why you choose to learn ?In other words, why you want to seek knowledge ?Maybe you will say :learn for China’s rising. But l believe, more chinese people will say : for existence. Because of the System , because of Productivity , because of population , we had to choose Examination-oriented education to select talents. But now , China is no longer as she has been ,she is rising ,however ,if we continue to carry out Examination-oriented education ,students will be good at exams ,not doing research ,people from generation to generation will have a plain mind ,and a snobbish heart .So that ,our nation’s Innovation will get bankruptcy.
L have thought of a thing : an American social science researcher asked a QingHua professor : Have China formed the middle class ? In fact , chinese people become rich ,more educated , but , they are very careful about their own interest , but if the society ask them to do something for the public interest , they will refuse to it . When these people don;t have any common sense ，any common values , how we can call them the middle class ? If this middle class rises ,it will only bring disasters to China , could not be on behalf of China’s development and progress any longer !That is ,because of this Examination-oriented education , they focus on exams , their own interests ,how can they value on the public interest ?
Now we thorough analyise the university learning . I n most of time , we only pay attention to what points teachers will examine us in class , how they will examine us ,but not the knowledge it own , if they ask us how the conclusion get , we will get nervous .When they have classes ,we will ignore the derivation of the formula , but only remember the formula itself . We are not able to applicate the knowledge to our life , only use it in exams.
Our students could not dare to ask questions . First , we don’t know we have questions, then , we dare to expose our ignorance to influence our marks , and it can also prove we are not interested in the knowledge. Knowledge is only a tool , a makeup , an unclear memory we could’nt believe .
Teachers always critic us : we should be responsible , should be rigorous , should be through thinking .Everybody have a unique way to think , which can do good to human beings .This is the spirit of innovation , every point in book we should understand.
The object to learn is not only to understand , but to write a bigger , more progress , more creativite book .To go to university is not for high salary ,not for occupation ,but for the right nation development in sciense . However ,Examination-oriented education can not help us to create , do not even say create a more advanced society.
