3rd week learning tasks
1. Finish the tests in Learning Center before 14 Mar, including test of U 1 in Integrated Course and U 9&10 in Listening and Speaking Course.
2. Learn the new words and Text A by yourself. You should be able to answer the Content Questions on p42 of the Integrated Course. Do the exercises of Text A. Recite Passage A of Cloze on p53.
3. After the word study, you should make 5 sentences with 5 new words which you may find difficult in Text A in your notebook. You are going to share these sentences with your classmates in Mon’s/Tue’s classes. 4. Group work: Discussion.
Topic: The only way to improve road safety is to impose severe punishment for
driving offences. Do you agree or disagree? 提高道路安全的途径是严惩违规吗？
Discuss the topic within the group in which you worked out the report in U1. If
you agree, give the reasons. If not, figure out other means to improve road safety. We will have it discussed in the fifth week’s class.
