The influence of the Internet
Hello, everyone, it is my honor to be here to give this speech. Firstly, I want everyone to guess a thing, without it, we don’t know what to do ,we will feel lonely, what’s more, I even think if I don’t use it, I can’t survive. Yes, it’s the Internet. The Internet has been an indispensable part of our life, it has changed the way we live, and even changed the world.
Firstly, in the past years, people used to write papers to other person, but nowadays, we usually send emails to others. It’s quicker and more convenient, and we needn’t pay for the postage. Secondly, video call becomes more popular. People chat with families or friends online, and have business meeting on web while people come to face to face for at last four decades. Internet has made it possible for people to communicate more conveniently.
Some changes have also taken place in people’s lifestyles. First of all, shopping online has become a modern part of our life. The Internet not only saves our money and time, but also offers more choices for customers. We can stay in our home to buy anything we want. Secondly, Internet is a good entertainment center; we can play computer games; we can watch movies and listen to music, and we do not have to buy so many expensive books from store like the past times, there are endless books you
can read on the Internet, and you can enjoy the beauty of the nature all over the world without stepping outside. Our lifestyle has influenced a lot by the Internet.
However, there are also some disadvantages when we are using the Internet. The biggest problem is that there is too much information but some of them are not fit for us. What is more, surfing the Internet for a long time without a rest is harm for our body. There are too many students escaping study since they are addicted to the computer games. There are also so many traps in the Internet. A great deal of junk information spread through the Internet, which disturb our life terribly. People who spent more time on the Internet spent less time socializing with friends.
It’s a good question for us about how to make a good use of the Internet. At the beginning, we should manage our time for surfing the Internet. Next, we can drink more water and do some sports after playing computer.
To sum up, Internet has influenced our lives a lot. And we should try our best to avoid the negative effect. With the Internet, I believe that our life will be more comfortable in the future.
