gave me more instructions. She even taught me how to write English texts in her free time. With her great help, I have built my self-confidence in English. And I could also get good marks in English exams.

… … My mother is one of the best ladies I have ever known. She has given me a lot of love and is always busy with my reasonable requests.
The other day, I ran into a trouble with my study. I was sleepy every day and didn’t get good grades. My mother was worried about me all the time. Later on, she had an honest talk with me to know what was wrong with me. Knowing about my situation, she discovered that the best way to solve the problem was to get enough sleep. She asked me to go to sleep early and prepared me a cup of warm tea in the morning. Now, I feel so energetic every day that I think I can do everything well.
To appreciate her help, I am going to hold a birthday party for her. I am also going to make a card for her to show my love and let her know how much she means to me.

… … If you ask me who is the person that can always understand me and cheer me up when I’m down, it is my mother. When I was young, I usually wondered how to get along with my friends. Almost every day after school, I walked alone and made my way home because nobody wanted to walk with me. It was my mom who told me that I would have a friend to talk and play with soon. She told me how enthusiastic I was and made me believe that there would be a true friend and we absolutely would build a perfect friendship. My mom was like a friend, and now I really have good friends just as she once said. With my mother’s help, I find my self-confidence back and I’m planning to give her a surprise. I’ll give her a big hug and tell her that she is the real friend that I have ever realized before and I’ll love her forever.

I used to be afraid of speaking in public, so I was surprised when my mom asked me to take part in a speech contest. She was so serious about it that she even watched me practice speaking and pointed out my mistakes just like an English teacher. When I was going to go the competition, she gently held my shoulders to cheer me up. To my surprise, I won a prize and told her about the exciting news as soon as I got home. She smiled like a little child. I know it’s my mom’s love that has made me confident until now.
Nothing can reward mom’s love. What I can do is to study hard and get better grades. And now, I want to say to my mom seriously, “Mom, I love you”.
