In 2010, a serious drought（旱灾）hit the Southwest of China, such as the areas, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan and Chongqing. Most farmers live there had no water for their field. Some villagers watered the field in Guizhou. Instead of looking for water, 149 families in Heinitang village of Yunnan were busy digging a hole to build water cellars（水窖）to fight the drought. A water cellar looks like a 3-meter- deep jar half buried in the ground, which can help a family-of-three-s needs for water for half a year. Some mountain areas had no water all and crops had been dry and trees had died. The number of people without drinking water had reached 8,280,000 by the end of March.
