Revision and lead-in 1.Game Ss guess, who is he / she with the words describing people. 2. Show some pictures about some stars，ask students to say their appearance and personality., to review the vocabularies of appearance & personality. What does he look like? &What is she like？ Step 2. Presentation Ss look at two different pictures to learn the phrases “used to”. 1．He was short when he was a child, but he is tall now. = He used to be short, but now he is tall. 2.He was ugly when he was a student, but he is really handsome now. = He used to be ugly, but now he is really handsome. …… Step 3. Practice Make sentences Look at some different pictures and talk about them. He / She used to be / have / wear ?, but now he / she is / has / wears ?. Step 4.
