1.辨析 Ms Miss Mrs Madam

Ms 用于女性姓氏前,在不知女性婚否的情况下使用,意为“女士”。 Miss 用于女性姓氏前,一般用于指代未婚女性,意为“小姐” Mrs 用于已婚女士姓氏前,意为:“夫人,太太”

Madam 后不接姓名,一般单独使用,对地位更高,年龄更长者的尊称,可指代已婚也可指未婚女性,意为“夫人,太太,小姐,女士” 2 辨析 can must have to can 1. 能, 会。(能力)He can speak English . 2. 可能,(推测)It can be very hot there . 3. 允许 ,(许可)Can I sit here ?

must 必须,不得不。 说话人主观的觉得必要性, 无人称时态变化。 I must go home now. You mustn’t do that. Must I do that ? Yes ,you must. No, you needn’t.

have to 不得不。 客观上的必要性,有人称时态变化。 I had to stay at home yesterday. You don’t have to do that. Do you have to go home? Yes ,I do. No ,I don’t .

3 .outside 的用法

作副词,“在外面,向外面”反义词为:inside It was dark outside. 作介词,“向??外,在??外” Outside the house, there was a bank. 作形容词,“外部的,外来的,外表的”

The outside parts of some fruit are not good to eat. 作名词,“外边,外部,外界”

You can’t open the door from the outside. 3. 辨析 else 与other

else other 二者都可以表示“其他的,另外的”

但else 放在所修饰词之后,做副词。而other 正好相反,放在所修饰词之前,作形容词。 What else did you do yesterday ? What’s that in your other hand ?

Other 还可以做代词,但else 则不可以。 I don’t like this one ,show me the other.

Step 5 Exercise : Translate the following sentences. 1. 请不要在上课跟我讲话。 2. 你每天必须穿校服。

3. 我们不必在六点之前起床 4. 昨天你还买了别的水果吗? 5. 在桌子上还有别的东西吗?

6. 学生能在教室里吃东西吗?不能。 7. 外面在下雨吗?

Task1 Teaching aims

Show the teaching aims.Tell the students what we will study in this class.

Task2 Talking and lead-in

1. let students talk about school or house rules using “can,can’t , have to and don’t have to .”

2 .Show some pictures and talk about the pictures: In picture 1 , we see the sight: NO smoking/Don’t smoke here…(No parking/Don’t park here , NO stopping /Don’t stop here…..)

Task3 Present Imperative Sentences

1. let students read Grammar foucs (Imperative Sentences ) in P106 . 2.祈使句的构成方式: ●肯定结构:

1. Do型(即:动词原形(+宾语)+其它成分)。如:Please have a seat here. 请这边坐。有的祈使句在意思明确的情况下,动词可省略。如:This way, please. = Go this way, please. 请这边走。

2. Be型(即:Be + 表语(名词或形容词)+其它成分)。如:Be a good boy! 要做一个好孩子! 3. Let型(即:Let + 宾语 + 动词原形 + 其它成分)。如:Let me help you. 让我来帮你。 ●否定结构:

1. Do型和Be型的否定式都是在句首加don\\'t构成。如:Don\\'t forget me! 不要忘记我! Don\\'t be late for school! 上学不要迟到!

2. Let型的否定式有两种“:Don\\'t + let + 宾语 + 动词原形 + 其它成分”和“Let + 宾语 + not + 动词原形 + 其它成分”。如:Don\\'t let him go. / Let him not go. 别让他走。

3. 有些可用no开头,用来表示禁止性的祈使句。如:No smoking! 禁止吸烟!No fishing! 禁止钓鱼!

4. 祈使句变反意疑问句时,用will you /won’t you ? Let’s …句型用shall we ?

Let us …句型用will you ? eg: Don’t smoke here ,will you ? Let’s go to the movie, shall we ? 练习:竟:1.______ ( 帮助 ) me to do housework,please. 2.Please ______ ( 擦 ) the blackboard. 3. ___________ ( 不要关 ) the door. B:Put the following into English.

too “太:过于:非常“之意,在本句中修饰形容词many,还可以修饰副词 .eg:The skirt is too big for me . You speak too fast .

区别:too many too much much too

1) too many 后面的跟可数名词复数,意为“太多。”eg: We have too many things to do every day . There are too many children in the room .

2) too much 后面跟不可数名词,意为:太多 I drank too much coke last night . 3)much too意为“(在很大程度上)太” 在句子中能修饰形容词或副词,但不能修饰动词。 You are much too kind to me . It’s much too cold .

4) too much可修饰动词作状语,但 too many不能 。 You give me too much .

◇ And I have to be in bed by ten o’clock . 十点钟前我一定得上床睡觉。 1)in bed在句中意为“睡觉”in 和bed之间不能用冠词,bed也不用复数,相当于go to bed .

eg: I have to be in bed at nine every night . 联想:be in bed还可意为“(生病)卧床”。表示某物在床上通常用on the bed . Eg: He is bed for 10 years .

2)by 是介词,句中表示期限,意为“到(某时)之前:不迟于”

Can you finish the homework by tomorrow ? I have to be at the station by 6:00 .

联想:by the end of 到??末为止/by the time of到??时间之前 / by the way顺便说下,

顺便问下 / by oneself单独:自行 By the way , do you finish your homework ?

She is too young . You can’t leave her by herself .

◇ I can’t watch TV on school nights .”在上学期间的晚上。“

提醒:1)night前若有其它词修饰,指具体的某个晚上应用介词on On summer nights 在夏天的晚上 on weekend nights 在周末的晚上 2)若泛指晚上,则用in the night at night

◇. On weekends , I have to clean my room and wash my clothes .

1)and 连词,连接两个动词短语,表示并列关系。They are talking and laughing .

2)clean 动词:打扫 ,形容词:干净的

3)wash动词:洗 eg: I washed my face and hands this morning . 短语:do some washing washing machine

◇ . Iater I have to go to the Children’s Palace to learn the piano . 1) Later是副词,意为“后来,以后” I’ll tell you later ./ Many years later , he came back and gave his uncle a lot of money./ But some time later it began to rain .

2) later 是late的比较级,意为:较晚的,更晚的,例: I went to bed later than usual . Later on 意为:后来,以后,稍后,晚些时候 eg:I’ll tell you all about it later on 5. Retell the article(第三人称)

⑴Give the students 3 minutes to read the article freely and prepare to retell the article.

(2)Ask some students to retell the article.

No+动词/动名词,表示:禁止,不要干某事,常用于公共场合,用来提醒人们注意。

例句:Don’t knock loudly at the door.其形容词为:loud

区别:aloud loud loudly :三者都是可作副词,意为:大声地,但是使用有所不同。aloud意为出声地,有使声音被听到的意思,而不是只在脑子里默默地 说 , 往往与read/think连用,修饰call/cry时,可作:高声地,大声地 解。 loud意为:大声地,高声地,响亮地, 在动词talk,speak,shout.laugh后多用loud, loudly有时可与loud通用,但含有:喧闹之意。 Eg: Please read the story aloud . They are talking loud in the room. He laughed loud/loudly .

Ex:不要大声讲话。Don’t talk so loud
