College is a small society itself. In college, you will meet lots of people. Also, college experience changes your ideas for life. You get rid of your feeling of importance which you had at high school and realize that in the larger picture, it doesn’t matter if you wear branded clothes or have the hottest hairstyle College also helps you feel free to start conversations with people on many topics. It’s good for you to improve your communication skills. Of course, you may feel nervous and awkward at first. It’s quite understandable. But all that will change.

Part C Grammar
A box of table tennis balls are on a+表示群体单位的名词(basket, body, box, chain, flock, the table. list, stack, set等)+of+复数名词作主语,谓语动词用单(are 应改为is) 数。 Bryant, with his two classmates, 主语和动词之间有插入语时,不能根据插入语的单复are in the car. There are a mouse, two cats and 在there be 结构中,当充当主语的是一组名词时,be 动three bones in the picture. 符合(are应改为is) 本原则的还包括由关联连词连接的两个名词作主语时的情况,如“either?or, neither?nor, as?as, not so?as” None of the students are from 在none, neither 和either +of +复数名词的结构中,动词China.(are应改为is) 应该是单数形式。 Her clothes expensive. 有些名词形式上是复数,但是通常只是当作单数看待,如:politics, physics, economics, news The woman servants are all high 由woman, man 后面加上名词构成复合名词在变成复school graduates. 数的时候需要将两个复合成分都变成复数;一般复合名 词构成复数时只需要将主体名词变成复数就可以,如:(woman servants应改为 son (s)-in-law passer (s)-by editor (s)-in-chief; 没有women servants) 主体名词的复合名词构成复数时直接在最后一个词后面加复数词尾,如:go-between (s) draw-back (s) Fifty kilometers seem like a long 数词+表示时间、重量、长度、价值等单位的复数名词walk to me. (seem应改为 作主语时,如果作整体看待,谓语动词用单数形式. seems) This pair of gloves are wearing this/a pair of +复数名词(表示成对的东西)作主语时,out. (are应改为is) A quarter of a dollar are 25 cent. half, the rest, proportion, quarter 等+of+单数名词作主语(are应改为is) 时,谓语用单数,+of+复数名词时,谓语用复数。
