夫定、替比夫定或替诺福韦）降低病毒载量，增强乙肝疫苗和HBIG的效果。对于由于阻断母婴垂直传播用药的患者应当在分娩后3个月内停药，停药后应密切监测。指南还指出使用核苷（酸）类似物患者哺乳期安全性尚不清楚，未明确推荐是否可以哺乳。
2012年新更新的APASL指南中也增加了使用核苷（酸）类似物阻断母婴垂直传播的推荐意见，但相对而言，EASL指南的推荐意见则更详细、更细致，可操作性更强。支持这些推荐意见的研究主要来自于中国11-13，应该说这些研究和推荐意见对于中国的参考价值可能更大。
