How are things going?
Last Sunday we had an activity aiming at searching for English mistranslated or incorrectly spelt on street signs. Early in the morning, my classmates and I gathered at the school gate. With a camera, notebooks and bottles of water in our backpacks, we soon set out on our detective trip by bike. In the street, some of us took pictures while others took notes of the signs we thought were wrong or questionable. A busy, but delightful morning soon passed.
In the afternoon, we held a class meeting to share what mistakes we had found. With the help of the teacher, all of us learnt the correct spelling and translation. To make more people know better English, we worked in group and wrote a letter to the editor of China Daily telling him what we had done.
After doing all of these, we felt tired but happy for what we had done.

In the picture, we can see two men are trying to make a bench together. Both of them are working hard, sweating a lot. But obviously they are fixing the legs on opposite sides. Seeing the picture, I can’t help thinking how ridiculous it is. It seems that the two men work as a team and both of them do make their efforts. But unfortunately they just mind their own business without communicating with each other. It appears to me that they are not cooperating in an effective way. There is no doubt that working without cooperation will definitely lead to inefficiency.
But how can we cooperate more effectively? From my point of view, cooperation calls for effective communication, without which people will do things blindly. For this reason, we should exchange ideas with our partners and work out a careful plan before taking actions. Otherwise, all the efforts will be in vain, just like what the two men do in the picture. 示范校

Recently the National Museum has been opened to the public, which attracts thousands of people in our country every day. Last Friday, our grade organized us to visit the National Museum.
Early in the morning, we started out from the school gate by bus. We got on the bus one by one excitedly, chatting happily with each other. After about half an hour, we arrived at the museum, where there were crowds of people. I entered the museum with my classmates to visit different exhibitions. We spent the next three hours watching the two major exhibitions— the Ancient Chinese Tool Show and Western Painting Show. We were shocked by our ancestors’ wisdom and the great western painters’ gift for painting. When we were watching, we even noted down some of important information. Having finished our visiting, we stood together in the front of the National Museum to take photos to record this memorable activity. 第二节 开放作文（15分） One possible version:
Hi Jim! Look at this picture. Obviously, there are two men stuck in a tunnel underground. One of them is looking for exit by using a telescope, while the other one is making an exit using hammer and drill.
This picture seems to convey such a message that we should be creative and flexible when we meet difficulties. In our daily life, we were surrounded by much work which really bothers us. Some people just use energy-saving ways to settle them but others spare no effort to search for new ways. Consequently, they find more effective solutions. Just like the man on the left in this picture, although he may be exhausted and worn out in the end, he can explore a new exit. Therefore, what we need when we solve problems are creative and practical methods，but not those so-called “modern” ways. 可接受的其他立意：
