H&M labels their eco -friendly products with an official symbol, the Flower, to represent a production system that is less harmful than most traditional processes. The honking of horns (喇叭) ,as anyone who has tried to get more than a few minutes of sleep in New York will tell you, is one of the city' s most widely enjoyed common pastimes. But Aaron Naparstek
6
has had enough of it. On one occasion, the 31 - year - old website developer approached the open window of a 4x4.waited for the driver to finish honking, offered a polite \o - o - o - onk!\(The response was fierce anger.) Then a few months ago he lost his patience and threw three eggs from the window of his Brooklyn apartment on to the windscreen of a car honking loudly below. But the driver threatened to kill him. So, nobly, he chose the path of non - violence. He started writing anti - honking haiku verses - honku, he called them - and taped them to local lampposts:
Oh .forget Enron *
The problem around here is All the damn honking
(*Enron: a major American company that recently caused a scandal by going bankrupt because of corrupt mismanagement)
\this really weird thing started happening,\Naparstek says. \these other haiku started appearing that I hadn't written.\- honking poetry, written by everyone from scary environmental activist types to violent revolutionaries;
Patience slowly fades
Residents store up their eggs That day is coming soon.
Inevitably Naparstek has started a website — www. honku. org — and now people from across the country send him news of their own anti - honking campaigns. Poetry, it turns out, can change the world after all (if you've got enough tape). Then, just recently, anti - anti - honking haiku started to appear, taped up by locals who thought Naparstek should stop worrying about honking and start worrying about starving children, say, or war in the Middle East instead. Naparstek has an answer for that. \this is too tenuous(不靠谱的) ,\force of nature, like it' s beyond our control. But actually it's kind of like the honking - the violence is man -made. If we can figure out how to stop honking on Clinton Street, I think we could learn some things that we could use on a large scale. \ 55. We can learn from the beginning of the passage that ____. A. honking noise has influenced people's life in New York B. most New Yorkers enjoy sleeping late in the morning
C. New Yorkers have formed a habit of honking while driving D. New Yorkers enjoy listening to the honking of horns 56. What is Naparstek's final response to the honking of horns?
A. Ignore it. B. Yell at the driver. C. Write to the government. D. Act in a peaceful way. 57. The underlined word \
A. a type of game B. a kind of language C. a style of poem D. a website 58. According to the passage, most New Yorkers think Naparstek's response is ___. A. pointless B. reasonable C. strange D. abnormal 59. In response to the criticism of his anti -honking campaign, Naparstek believes__ A. finding the solution to anti - honking is as meaningful as that to starvation B. violence in the Middle East is more of an issue worthy of note
C. big issues are beyond our control while small ones are under our control D. if not handled properly, honking may cause serious problems like starvation 60. Which of the following best describes the tone of this passage?
A. Matter-of-fact. B. Pessimistic. C. Humorous. D. Serious.

A. What are some things a person can do to get better sleep?
B. Why do some people have a difficult time getting good sleep?
C. What advice would you like to leave for someone who wants to sleep better? D. What type of impact can a lack of sleep have on a person's life? E. When do you advise parents to start sleep training - is there an ideal age?
F. What type of professional help is available for someone who had a difficult time sleeping? 61._________
Julie's answer; There are many reasons. There could be medical issues and psychological ones. Lately, people are not putting sleep as a priority as the amount of roles people are taking on; it reduces the amount of time people have to dedicate to sleep. Also, many people that I see often express how their mood affects their sleep. It is difficult for anyone to sleep if they have a lot on their mind. Anxious thoughts can run like a record player, which doesn't allow their minds and bodies to relax enough to be able to fall asleep. 62.________
Julie' s answer:Well, it can affect physiologically and psychologically. Some people become irritable and lethargic. They also feel it throughout their body by rubbing their eyes, difficulty keeping their heads up, laying down, being unmotivated to do things. I find that adults are very much like this as well. Children need more sleep than adults (10-12 hours) ,but the results are similar to adults if adults do not get their 8 hours that is needed. However, studies do say that adults need more than 8 consistent hours of sleep to not have any of the above effects. 63.__________
Julie's answer: First, people need to prioritize sleep; if one believes that they can just \other things matter more, then that person will never be able to improve their sleep. Secondary to create an environment that is relaxing and comfortable. That doesn't include the television or video games. The radio can be good, but it should be more soothing music. Third, you can try relaxation skills to be able to fall asleep. That can include yoga, meditating music, using imagery to fall asleep too. Finally, I often suggest to my clients to write down in a free writing style whatever is on their mind if their anxious thoughts are preventing them from sleeping. That way it is a positive release of those thoughts Just don't read it again, or you will be putting it right back where it came from. 64._______
Julie's answer: One thing to consider and to rule out first is any medical reason for the lack of sleep. I suggest talking to your Primary Care Provider (PCP) about any physiological issues. I e next step is finding a Mental Health Professional that is a good fit for you. This could be a social worker, psychologist, a hypnotist, or a psychiatrist that could provide you with education and possible medication, if it is needed.
65. _______
Julie's answer: I would suggest that you follow a protocol of trying to improve your sleep better by using positive coping skills first and if you need help in order to find those, to seek professional help because feeling rested can make an added difference to your health and mood. There are medications that of course can help you sleep, however I believe they should be used as a last resort & responsibly.

Don’t Be Self-centered in a Class
As is shown in the picture above, a helicopter is going to put the letter “I” into the word “Team”. But if so, the word will no longer exist. This picture conveys the message that if team members are self-centered, the team may break up. A class is actually a team. All the students in the class share the same goal---to make the class an excellent team and to help everyone develop fully and healthily. In order to achieve this goal, students should cooperate and support each other even if sometimes someone may have to make sacrifices(牺牲). Only if they work as one can they achieve success. However, if some students are self-centered and only care about themselves the teamwork will surely be negatively affected or even destroyed. I believe, there is no “I” but “we” in a team.
