private company is that my classmate’s parents’ friend works there.
First, we registered for an ID card from the front desk to enter the building. Fred, who was our guide that day, told us we could play lots of games there for free. We also went to their office to figure out how the game FIFA Soccer was created. There are 500 employees in the soccer department, but not everyone does the same thing. They are divided into many different departments: for example, action, art, imitation and intellectual property. In addition, there are some groups for some different games such as Plants vs. Zombies and Madden NFL.
Additionally, the sports courts that they have were what impressed me most. There are not only basketball and volleyball courts but also soccer courts! Fred said to us, “If the creators of sports games do not play sports, that’s really strange.” So, they can go to exercise any time they want. Furthermore, they can go to EA University, which is a room where they can learn new information by themselves. The only thing that they need to keep in mind is “Finish your work before the deadline.”
Visiting this software company was a really cool experience for me. This kind of workplace doesn’t exist in my hometown. So, before coming here, the only way to experience somewhere like this was through movies such as The Internship, which features two men working for Google. Working for a company like that in the future is my goal.
