1. by accident偶然地; 意外地 【语境领悟】
*They are all in a hurry to get to the airport, so they forget Kevin and he is left alone at

(1)by accident为介词短语, 意为“偶然地; 意外地”, 常放在句末, 用来修饰前面的动词。 (2)其同义短语为by chance。例如: The traffic accident happened by chance. 这起交通意外是偶然发生的。 【学以致用】
