Part B Passage 1:
Asia and Europe are important cradles of human civilization with a long history of scientific cooperation. As early as the ancient times, the two continents had begun to seek benefits for their people through conducting technology exchanges along the \Road\With today's rapid development of technology ／technological progress, global scientific, trade and economic exchanges have become essential to international relations.∥
Both Asian and European countries face economic and social problems , which should be tackled by an overall cooperation in enhancing basic scientific research, industrializing technological findings and protecting the environment. The Chinese government values development of science and technology and its exchanges with peoples from countries all over the world. Up to now, China has joined more than 800 international organizations.
Passage 2:
The WTO entry will benefit China's securities market mainly in the following two aspects. First, the accession to the WTO is good for China's steady economic growth in the long run. It will provide the most basic conditions for the rapid and healthy development of the capital market.∥
Second, following the WTO entry, overseas capital will gradually flow into China's capital market. The improvement of the quality and performance of listed companies will provide a solid foundation for the prosperity and development of the securities market. The market operation mechanism and regulatory rules will gradually be linked with international practice. This will help China's capital market to mature.

Last year, the American government decided to extend the permanent most favorable nation treatment to China. I think it is wise to separate the human rights issue from MFN status. This decision is helpful to the development of economy and foreign trade of both sides. It provides more job opportunities for the two peoples.
