1. CURRENT FORMAT FOR BEDDING & FURNITURE
The minimum size of the label shall not be less than 2 inches by 3 inches, but may be larger as need demands.
All printing shall be in the English language, color of the print shall be black on a white label. The minimum type size is 1/8\type in capital letters for the \NEW MATERIAL\cloth or a material of comparable quality, which shall not flake out when abraded. There shall be no printing on the back of the law label.
The description of the filling materials shall be it's true generic name, grade, or definitions as accepted and approved by the states. When more than one kind of filling material is used, the percent by weight of each shall be listed in order of their predominance.
NOTE: In some states the name of the manufacturer, importer, distributor or
vendor is required to be listed on the label. This information may be listed several different ways.
For example: MADE BY..... (List the manufacturer) MADE FOR..... (List the Importer or Dist.) SOLD BY.... (List the Retailer)
NOTE: The \all federal requirements and any additional information shall be listed:
Date of Delivery____________ (some states require this on the label. The manufacturer does not have to list a date on the line.)
Finished Size: (some states require this on the label for mattresses, foundations, futons, mattress pads, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, bed
pillows, bedspreads, comforters and similar articles. Size should be stated in inches.)
Net Weight of Filling Material: (some states require this on the label for mattresses, foundations, sleeping bags and sleeping pads. Weight should be stated in pounds and ounces.)
Federal RN Number: ( This is a voluntary number issued by the Federal Trade Commission. This number is optional and does not have to be listed on your label.)
