WhenmymostrecentbookBrandwashedwasreleased,Iteamedupwithalocalbookstoreto
2conductanexperimentaboutthedifferencesbetweentheonlineandofflineshopping.Icarefullyinstructedagroupofvolunteerstopromotemybookintwodifferentways.Thefirstwasafairlyhands-offapproach.Wheneveracustomerwouldinquireaboutmybook,thevolunteerwouldtakethemovertotheshelfandpointtoit.Outof20suchrequests,sixcustomersproceededwiththepurchase.
