Warm-up a) Greetings Purposes: Begin the class and have them focus on the lesson b) Brainstorm Ask the students to write down the adjectives they’ve already known. Purposes: Help the students master “tall/ fat/hot/nice/large/heavy…” c) Lead-in Show them some pictures of several famous people , then describe them and compare. Step 2 . Presentation (15mins) a)Learn the expressions Ask students some questions about the given pictures T: Give Ss an example by comparing them . e.g. Jimmy is younger than Cindy. Jimmy is the youngest kid of them. Cindy is heavier than Tiantian. Cindy is the heaviest child in the picture. Cindy is nicer than Tiantian. Cindy is the nicest child that I have ever met. Tiantian is fatter than Jimmy. Tina is the most beautiful people in our class. Step3.Group work a)Play a Guessing Game Divide the class into 4 groups, let them guess the Ss according to the sentences I give. ]Eg: T: She is tall than Tina but she is thinner than Tina . Ss: It is Lucy.
