Why don’t you talk to your parents?
I have to study too much so I don’t get enough sleep. I don’t have any free time to do things I like.
My parents don’t allow me to hang out with my friends. I got into fight with my best friend.

Step1 Warming up & Leading in
1.复习What’s the matter ?句型。
2. Present topic map,Ask Ss to say:--What’s the matter with the boy?--He has too much homework to do.\\He has too many after-school classes. 3. Lead to the worries to the Ss. 4. Key points
让学生观察并说出too much和too many的区别及其用法:
too much trouble too many problems too much time too many hours too much homework too many classes too much food too many cakes too much fruit too many apples too much work too many jobs 两者的区别是:可数名词复数前用too many,不可数名词前用too much。 Step 2 Presentation
1. 教师可通过pairwork方式启发学生表述自己所面临的困难或问题,并尝试给出建议。 A: What’s the matter with you? =What’s wrong /r??/ 有毛病的 with you? B:I have too much homework so I don’t have any free time to do things I like. A:Why don’t you talk to your parents ?=Why not talk to your parents ? B:That sounds good. .
Explain some key sentences, and make sure the students understand them. eg: things I like,hang out with my friends,get into a fight with等。 3.Discussion:Discuss these problems and give some more advice. 1). I have to study too much so I don’t get enough sleep. --Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening?

Step 3 Work on 1a&1b
1. Work on 1a
Let the students look at the problems in 1a,discuss if they are serious, and write them in the appropriate box再请学生朗读或齐读这些句子。
2.学生两人结对,利用Ia所列的问题和先前呈现的表达建议的句型开展口语训练。 活动前,教师可选择几个学生配合进行示范如: A: What’s wrong?
B: I’m so sad because my parents don’t allow me to hang out with my friends. A: Why don’t you talk to them?
3.首先播放1b视频,并提出问题:What problems are they talking about?让学生根据 内容预测听力对话中可能谈到的问题。
4.播放第一遍录音,中间不停顿,让学生对听力内容有个整体印象,并尝试回答听 前提出的问题,完成1b活动。
5. 第二次播放录音,学生独立完成1b之后,让他们与同伴互相交流补充所获得的信息, 再核对答案
