M: Yes. It was supposed to start at 8:00, but it was delayed half an hour. (Text 3)

M: What did you do in Hainan?

W: Oh, quite a lot. I played tennis, went swimming, and even took pictures with a snake, which I once hated so much. (Text 4)

M: Jim looks very nervous, doesn‘t he?

W: Yes, I‘m afraid he is not used to making speeches. (Text 5)

M: Hello, is that you, Cindy?

W: Oh, hello, Mike. How are you?

M: Quite well, thank you. I‘m calling to ask if it would be all right to visit you this weekend. W: Certainly. What time will you be coming? M: Will 10 o‘clock be convenient for you? W: Yes, I guess so.

M: I wonder if I could bring my girlfriend along. W: Yes, why not? I‘d love to meet her. M: I‘d like to ask a favor of you, if I may. W: Yes, what is it?

M: It's a meal between breakfast and lunch. Many people prefer brunch on Saturdays.

I suppose science has made big steps in making food more fit to eat. However, it has also made many foods unfit to eat.

Why? About 80% of human illnesses are related to food and 40% of cancer is related to food. That food is related to illness is a new discovery. For example, things commonly used to keep color in meat and other food additives cause cancer. Also, farmers often give some medicine to their animals. So, the medicine can be found in the milk of treated cows. Some farmers try to fatten the animals in order to get a higher price on the market. Don‘t you think it is terrible? The government should do something to deal with such affairs.
