对于购买了DS4000或DS5000产品的用户，如果同时订购了相关Premium Features（包括Partition，Flashcopy，Volumecopy，Enhanced Remote Mirror，Intermix等），那么为了激活相关功能，需要登录IBM网站，并注册生成key文件，以下是相关激活步骤：
1.确认激活卡是从IBM正规渠道获得，并且上面有“Premium Feature”的字样。然后，登录http://www-912.ibm.com/PremiumFeatures
2.如果激活Partition，Flashcopy，Volumecopy，Enhanced Remote Mirror，Intermix等Premium Features许可，单击超链接“Activate a Premium Feature or Software Feature Pack ”，进入下一页；
3.认真阅读说明信息，然后单击页面下方的“Continue”，进入下一页； 4.认真阅读说明信息，在“Activation Type”中选择“Premium Feature”；
5.在“Feature activation code”中填入许可清单中的激活代码，填写对应激活卡靠上部分的代码，一般格式为“XX-XXXX-XXXXX”（注意：中间有两个中横线“-”，区分大小写）；
6．输入Feature enable identifier。为避免手工输入错误，请从Storage Subsystem -> Premium Features窗口中复制此值；
7．输入 “Machine type”、“Model number”和“Unit serial number (sn)”相应信息。一般“Machine type”由4位数字组成，“Model number”由3位数字和字母组成，“Unit serial number (sn)”由7位数字和字母组成；
可以从以下位置查找到所要求的相应信息：
8．输入电子邮箱地址，key文件也会被送到电子邮箱中。“Email address”和“Verify email address”填入两次相同的电子邮箱地址（注意：个别邮箱存在格式问题，请选择由数字或字母组成用户名以及域名相对简单的邮箱地址）:
9．最后两个复选框表示是否愿意通过邮箱接收一些IBM的其它相关信息，上述信息填写完成后，单击“Continue”进入下一页；
10．网页会列出之前输入的激活信息做最终确认，确认无误后，单击“Submit”进入下一页；
