6. design
作动词时：He designs for our dress department.
作名词时：The architect showed us her design for the new theatre.
二．需要掌握的语法现象： 1. 形式主语
例：It is wonderful that we can have dinner on the 91st floor in Shanghai Financial Centre. 在这个句子中，主语it不是该句真正的主语而是“形式主语”。 该句真正的主语是：
这类句子被称为：主语从句
固定结构：”It is+ 形容词+ that从句” ，表达对某事的看法。

2. “in+一段时间”的结构有两种含义：
1）表示“在一段时间之内”，句子常用一般现在时或一般过去时 例：He was an artist. He could draw a beautiful horse in five minutes. 2）表示“在一段时间之后”，句子常用一般将来时 例：What will you be like in 10 year’s time?

四．阅读理解：
Nowadays, all the people in Shanghai work harder in being a lovely resident（居民）. More and more foreigners glorify (赞扬) about the great changes of Shanghai. But people in Shanghai are thinking about how to face the new situation. Maybe we need to pay attention to our expressions（表达）and some small things more carefully.
Shanghai lies in East China. It is becoming an international city, and is well known by a lot of people in other countries. So some rules become not only necessary but also important. For example, when you want to cross the road, pay attention to the traffic lights. Never park your car in a wrong place. Don’t talk loudly in public places.
As a teenager, we should show respect for other people, especially the elderly people. As the hosts of Shanghai, we should be more warm-hearted to the strangers from other parts of our country and foreign countries.

Visitors who drive around Paris will find one of Europe’s most famous sights, the Palace at Versailles. The elegant group of buildings was once the home of French kings and the wonder of Europe.
