摘要：小说《追风筝的人》打动了成千上万的读者。它讲述了阿富汗少年阿米尔因为儿时背叛伙伴，背负愧疚和自责，并一直寻找救赎出路的人性故事。本文从阿米尔的个人成长历程，分析该小说的成长和救赎主题。
本论文分为五部分：第一部分简述了小说《追风筝的人》的创作背景、故事梗概和产生的影响，以及作者卡德勒?胡塞尼。综述对该小说的研究现状，并提出本论文的研究思路。第二部分从人物关系上，讨论外在的人物对主人公阿米尔的成长产生的积极和消极的影响，结合他自身所表现出的黑暗面，体现阿米尔幼年时期所表现出的特性。第三部分探讨了阿米尔在少年时期对伙伴哈桑的两次背叛，以及产生这种背叛的根本原因。第四部分展现阿米尔在成年后为救哈桑的孩子苏赫拉布和为其抚平创伤所做出的努力，以及阿米尔走上这条救赎之路的原因。最后一部分为结论部分,概述本论文的研究内容及意义。本论文通过对主人公阿米尔成长历程的分析，从童年的背叛，少年的挣扎到中年时期的自我救赎，一步一步深化成长主题。该主题的研究对青少年成长具有教育意义，即每个人都能通过坦诚面对过去，并积极补救，最终获得灵魂的救赎。

The Human Journey of Amir: An Interpretation of The Kite
Runner from the Perspective of Personal Growth
Abstract
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini has moved readers all across the world. It is a story about a Afghan boy Amir who betrayed his brother and pursuing the road to redemption under the harassment of his own guilt and self-accusation years later. This paper aims at analyzing the theme of growth and redemption in The Kite Runner from the growth process of Amir.
This thesis can be divided into five parts. The first part gives an introduction to the creating background, synopsis, and the influence of The Kite Runner, and its writer Khaled Hosseini. Meanwhile, the author reviews the research status of the novel and explains the focus and structure of this thesis. The second part discusses the positives and negative influences of characteristics in the novel to the Amir's growth, which will be combined with the darkness in his mind to exhibit the initiation of Amir. The third part shows the process of Amir's betrayal against Hassan in the juvenile period and revel the root causes. The fourth part exhibits the efforts Amir made to rescue Hassan’s child Sohrab and to cure his trauma and analyzes the causes lead Amir to find the road of self redemption. The last part is a conclusion. From the growth of Amir, the betrayal during childhood, the struggle during adolescence and the redemption in middle age, step by step, the thesis shows the growth theme of this novel. And the study of this theme is significant to all the youths who are stuck in confusions. One can achieve the redemption of his soul by facing his past with a forgiving and unselfish heart.
