第一种方式是定位为职业经理人，也就是自己是给别人打工的，资金来源主要是工资、
奖金、提成等。材料的核心是：提供受雇单位的定期年检的营业执照，证明合法存在；提供法人出具的证明信，该证明信说明申请人每年的工资和奖金收入。需要说明的是，加拿大对中国大陆申请人的个人所得税要求不严，因为中国大陆的申请人大多数提供不了和收入完全匹配的税单，可以说是对中国大陆的申请人网开一面；对于中国香港和中国台湾的申请人就不同了，是严格要求个人所得税的。

第三种方式是房产、证券等。比如2002年购买的房产，现在翻一倍，由100万变为200万，这多出的100万，是自然的增值，不用解释来源；再比如，1998年入市50万炒股，至今已变成200万，这多出的部分不用解释，只需要提供交易记录证明。但购房或买股的本金，是需要提供证明解释来源的。
众所周知，加拿大留学需要担保金，这个担保金对于加拿大留学来说，作用非常大。一方面保证了生活，另一方面保证了学费的供应不间断。那么加拿大留学担保金具体有什么规则呢? 自费赴加拿大留学人员须有一位经济担保人出具经济担保书，担保书须说明担保人支付被保人在加拿大留学期间的一切费用，并且不能限定担保时间和金额。
另外担保人须在担保书上声明，在过去的五年中曾否为别的留学生作过担保，如有，应说明学生的名字及目前情况。未作过担保，也应申明此事实。除担保书外，须附一份担保人的收入证明，该证明只能是担保人的工资单或税单，不接受银行存款证明或其他资产证明。 详细规定如下：
