▇Warming up by learning about “fantasy”

Hello, class! We have come to Module 2 Fantasy Literature—Philip Pullman. But what is fantasy? Who is Philip Pullman?

Fantasy is a genre of art, literature, film, television, and music that uses magic and other supernatural forms as a primary element of either plot, theme, setting, or all three. The genre is generally distinguished from science fiction and horror by overall look, feel, and theme of the individual work, though there is a great deal of overlap between the three (collectively known as speculative fiction)

▇ Extensive Reading :

Let the students to read Harry Potter ---- the Boy Wizard on page 99, and finish Ex9—10. Come to page 22—23 The Story of J.K.Rowling and Harry Potter.

① read the new words on page 22—23 on page 147-148. Explain the important

words

② read the whole text and finish Ex 1-5 on page 22-24. let ss write down their

answers in the blackboard.
