1. Analyses of teaching contents(教学内容分析) 语音: 本课着重总结复习字母u和i在单词中的读音。
词汇: 本课共出现了7个生词,其中must, street, light,cousin,answer,这五个单
词要求四会,即:能听懂 会说、会认、会拼写; cross,line, 这两个词要求达到三会,即:能听懂、会说、会认。另外还有一个短语all right,要求三会。
语言结构: 本课的语法重点是情态动词must和may的用法。
Let’s talk: 本课的话题是“交通安全”教育。通过Jim和Mum的对话引出You
mustn’t cross the street now. We must cross the street here.等交通安全用语。对于这些交通安全用语,要让学生能够熟练应用,并会做替换练习。
Let’s learn: 通过录音以及表演,小组讨论学习交通安全用语。
Read:本课的阅读通过Tom和他的堂兄弟Bob过马路的故事,进一步复习了
本课的主题句You mustn’t play with your ball here. You mustn’t cross the street now. We must wait.同时也是对学生进行“交通安全”教育,使学生懂得遵守交通规则的重要性。
Let’s chant: 通过学唱英文歌曲,教育学生过马路要注意安全。
Listen and number: 通过练习,使学生的听力有所提高,并且对本课的交通安
全用语达到熟练听说反应。

The First Period (Let’s talk)
第一课时 Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Review
The teacher shows the words about the Let’s talk, then asks students to say how to read these words.
Review the phrases about the text.
Step 2 Presentation
(1) Listen to the tape. Let students read the text and underline the important
and difficult sentences. Encourage students to discuss and solve them by themselves. Then the teacher writes them down on the blackboard and explain them. For example:①You mustn’t cross the street now. ②We must cross the street here.
(2) Let the students read the text again, find out the sentences with the word
“must” and “mustn’t”, discuss the usage of them. Then the teacher and students summarize the usage together. (3) Summarize the usage of “must” and “mustn’t”.
情态动词must和may的用法:
① 在肯定陈述句中must通常表示说话人的主观意识,或要求对方必须做某事。如:I must go now,or I’ll be late.(我必须走了,否则该迟到了。) We must cross the street now.(我们必须在这儿过马路。) ② mustn’t是表示说话人不允许或禁止某人做某事。如:You mustn’t park your car here.(你不能在这停车。) You mustn’t talk like that.(你不能那

样说话。)
③ 在肯定的陈述句中,may表示“许可”,通常是指说话人给予的许可。如:You may park your car here.(你可以在这停车。) You may go now.(你现在可以走了。)
④ May在疑问句中所表示的许可不是说话人给予的许可,而是征询听话人的许可。如:May I use your pen?(我能用一下你的钢笔吗?)
Step 3 Consolidation
(1) Listen to the text again. Let students follow it and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
(2) Read the text in roles and then act it out.
(3) Read the text alone to get a further understanding of the dialog.
Step 4 Practice
(1) Learn and master the new words and phrases .
(2) Creat a real scene.The teacher and students work together to discuss the
usage of “must”and “may.” Encourage students to make some sentences.
Step 5 Project
Talk in groups, and ask everyone to try their best to summarize the text what we have learnt.
Step 6 Summary
(1) Learn the languages about traffic safety. (2) Summarize the usage of “must”and “may.”. Homework:

(1) Review 7words and phrases about what we have learnt last class. (2) Review the Let’s talk, divided two groups to act this talk.
Step 2 Presentation
(1) Listen to the tape and let the students repeat it.
(2) Let students follow the tape and act it without their books.
Step 3 Consolidation
(1) Listen to the Let’s learn again. Let students follow it and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
(2) Read the Let’s learn in roles and then act it out.
Step 4 Practice
(1) Listen to the tape again. Read after it, imitating the pronunciation and intonation.
(2) Read in groups,and then act out in roles.Encourage the groups that do well.
Step 5 Project
Collect more information about the usage of”must”and “may”. Share the information with the others, using these two words as much as possible. Enlarge students’ scope of the knowledge through the project.
Step 6 Summary
Talk in groups, and ask everyone to try their best to summarize the text what we have learnt. Homework:
Make some sentences about the Let’s learn.
