Paper is everywhere. We use it for homework, money, books, letters and cards. We have paper cups, paper bags, paper plants and so on. Without paper, our lives would be different.
The Chinese made the first real paper in the year 105 A.D(公元). And the Chinese kept it a secret for hundreds of years. By the end of the twelfth century, papermaking reached Europe. The first paper made in Europe was Spain in 1151.
A man named Nicholos Robert improved the Chinese way of papermaking in France in 1798. He invented a machine which could make paper much faster. Later people improved the way of producing paper again and again.
