 from each other. These different values then were reflected on the cultrual difference,even on language. 3.The reasons for the formation of difference in chinese and  western  values There are many reasons for the formation of difference in chinese and  western values,but we can make an induction from these reasons that the three main factors are named environmental adoptions,historical factors and philosophical basis of thinking patern.different nations vary in geogariphical and historical conditions,then different thinking patern come into being. On  this account, they are diiferent in values.  4.1  As we know,it’s the mainstreanm of traditional chinese culture to persue the harmony between humankind and nature.since ancient times,china has hand an ecological idea that man and nature are integrated.the confucian put forward the concept of unity and said that we human beings must corm to god’s will. So ,in the ancient times, people always call the emperor “天子” which means the son of god.they thought that it's the god’s will to appoint him the emperoror to manage the country and its people.chinese people always say that those who obey the mandate of heaven willprosper while those who defy it will perish(顺天者昌，逆天者亡)and nature is the true law(天行有常，不为尧存，不为桀亡). All of these give eloquent proof of chinese values ofo unity. Different from chinese,westerners belive in that humankind are distinguished from heaven. Humankind have the initiative and can control and change the word. In their opinion,they can win over nature if they can make themslves strong enough. They always say “man is the soul of the universe”,”man is the measure of all things” and “knowledge is power”. From these sayings, we can knoow that westerners belive that man who have knowledge and strong will can change the world through their effort.  4.2 time orientation  Time perspective is an very important part of a nation’s culture. The time orientation is mainly classified into three categories. In past-oriented culture,people shoe respect to history and raditon. In present-oriented culture, people place the things present in the most important place. In future-oriented culture, people plan and manage their future.  Different culture have different time orientation. Chinese culture was deeply affected by confucianism, we maintain that we should go back to nature and past. Chinese people attach great iportance to our ancester’s experience. So we
