2) 特殊疑问句(special question)
是用来对句子中某一特殊部分提问的疑问句。一般以疑问词开始。疑问词分为：疑问代词和疑问副词。 疑问代词：who（指人，主格）, whose（所有格）, whom（指人，宾格）, what（指物）, which（指人或物） 疑问副词：how, where, when, why等。 例如： Who told you that?

When did you visit these cities? How long have you been here? 从以上例句中可以看出，特殊疑问句的一般结构是：疑问词+一般疑问句。但提问主语部分的疑问词除外。 例如：Whose children came here yesterday? Who will come tomorrow? How many students are there studying in the library?
特殊疑问句一般使用完全答语，也可以只回答提问的部分。 例如：Who is in the room? My sister is in the room When will he arrive?

疑问词how与what的其他用法
1. how还可有以下用法： 1) 与much和many连用：
How much money do you want? 你需要多少钱？ How many pictures did you buy? 你买了多少幅画？ 2) 与副词连用：
How fast does he drive? 他开得有多快？
How often do you go abroad? 你多长时间出一次国？ How badly was he hurt? 他伤得怎么样？ How soon can you come? 你多快能赶来？
How far is it from Beijing to Guangzhou? 从北京到广州有多远？ 3) 与long连用：
How long have you been here? 你在这儿多久了？ How long have you had it? 你拥有它多长时间了？
2. what 还可有以下用法：
1) 对年级、班级、排号、号码等提问时要用 what，并与名词 grade, class, row, number 等连用。 What number are you? 你是几号呢？
2) what与colour 构成 what colour 来询问颜色。
What colour is your coat? 你的上衣是什么颜色？
3) 与名词 number 连在一起用来询问汽车或电话号码等。 What number is Mr Green's car? 格林先生的车牌号是多少？ 4) 询问具体的时间（几点几分）常用 what time。
