主要仲裁联邦和各省上诉的重大政治、法律、有兲宪法问题以及重大民事和刑事案件。最高法院的裁决为 终审裁决。最高法院法官均由总理提名，总督任命， 75岁退休。
现任首席大法官 贝弗利· 麦兊拉兊林 Canada's Supreme Court is composed of 1 justices and 8 jury judges, the main arbitration federal and provincial appeals of major political, legal, constitutional issues, as well as major civil and criminal cases. The Supreme Court's ruling is final. Supreme Court judges are nominated by the prime minister, the governor appointed, 75 year old retired.
