Dear Mom and Dad,
Nadia and I are having a great time in England. We spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday visiting London. For me the most interesting place was the Tower of London — you know how much I like history. We were there all morning on Monday. I wanted to stay longer, but Nadia was bored, so we left and went to Buckingham Palace.
A really funny thing happened on Tuesday morning at the hotel. I was down at breakfast, and Nadia was still taking a shower. She didn’t have any clothes with her. Well, she got locked (被锁) in the bathroom. She had to call others for help. When the locksmith (锁匠) finally got the door open, Nadia was really embarrassed. Everyone else thought the whole situation was quite funny, though.
On Wednesday night we went to the concert in Green Park. It was fantastic. And I had a new understanding (理解) of music.
On Thursday we went to Brighton. Or at least we thought we were going to Brighton. It turned out that we were on a train going north, not south. We met a really nice man who looked just like David Schwimmer. Nadia said it must be him, but it wasn’t. We had a great talk on the train.
Well, tonight at eleven o’clock, we’re taking the train to Paris. I don’t think it’s going to be a relaxing trip, but I don’t care. I’m really excited about seeing Paris.
