AIX平台下安装patrol for unix后，执行ps-ef|grep snmp命令，发现Patrolsnmp进程没有启动日志：
原因分析：
Assuming that you are using BMC-provided SNMP master agent, snmpmagt, the \snmpmagt is not running or the PatrolAgent isn't talking to it. 解决办法：
1. Add specific IP address to the TRANSPORT clause in snmpmagt.cfg: TRANSPORT smux SMUX OVER TCP SOCKET
AT 162.129.2.55 PORT 8199
2. Make corresponding change adding this IP address to the /snmp/smux_IPAddress Agent configuration variable.
3. Make sure /snmp/smux_port is set to the same value as the PORT specified in the TRANSPORT clause specified above. 1.3

原因分析：
The \identity issue.
The agent uses the gethostbyname() and gethostbyaddr() functions to retrieve the host name.
Additionally, for example, the host name must be the same in 3 places on Solaris which are DNS, /etc/hosts, and /etc/nodename.
If the gethost functions don't return the same name as nslookup and/or uname -n, then this identity message can occur.
=> Check DNS by running nslookup by both the host name and host IP address.
=> View /etc/hosts to ensure the entry is correct. Use the unix command: pg /etc/hosts
=> View /etc/nodename to ensure the OS itself is in sync with DNS and the hosts file.
The uname -a command reveals the contents of /etc/nodename.
Use uname -S {node name} to change the host name in /etc/nodename. Get with the system administrator for kernel rebuild assistance if needed. If the nodename file doesn't exist in /etc then it can be created as its just a text file that contains the OS name string. 在本例中确认：
在今天主机检查时，发现主机不能ping通自己，初步判断是主机名配置问题。

解决办法：
在用hostname命令时，主机的名字是sun，但是在/etc/hostname.ce0和/etc/hosts是发现是SCCD-PS-MMS-SV11-COLLECT，所以找华为的工程师修改hostname为SCCD-PS-MMS-SV11-COLLECT。就能ping通。然后agent就能正常启动了
Err = -5 看来都是主机名解析时出现的错误，可以按照这个思路进行排错
1.4 安装到39%时失败

查看/opt/bmc/Patrol3/pre_check.sh文件，得知脚本执行
whoami和ls 执行的
结果不相等，导致脚本执行失败，问题就出在ls –ld命令执行结果多了一行。
