Unit 1 How tall are you?

一、单元教学内容分析

1.单元教学内容:本单元学习的主题是比较人的身高体重。要求学生掌握如何在情境中恰当运用句型比较人、动物的外貌特征。理解形容词比较级的基本构成以及所表达的意义。

2.单元教学重点:掌握,描述比较人、物的单词和句子。例如:younger, older, taller, shorter, longer,thinner, heavier, bigger, smaller, stronger。How tall are you? I’m 1.61meters.You’re older than me. How heavy are you? I’m 52 kilograms. You’re heavier than me.在实际情境中的运用。 3.单元教学难点:掌握形容词比较级的构成。

二、单元教学目标

1.能运用英语询问和简单介绍身边人的身高,年龄,体重或事物的长度及尺寸,并用比较级回答。

2.掌握AB部分中四会单词及四会句型,掌握形容词比较级的变化方法,掌握对话中的主要句型。

三、单元教学准备

1.教师准备教学过程中所需要的图片、录音、课件,以及本单元的单词卡。

2.准备一些教师的照片或图片。 3.教师准备录音机及录音带或点读笔。

四、单元教学措施

1.在教学过程中,对于学习困难的学生,可通过请学生复述老师的话或是复述同学的回答,让学生对老师和同学的发言引起注意,让学生意识到要仔细听别人的说话。 2.对于学习还不错,但是不愿或害怕发言的学生,课堂中教师主动请他们表达其意见,培养他们良好的学习英语的习惯。

3.充分运用英语名、英文歌、儿歌、绕口令、顺口溜、谜语等,给予小学生语言感染的机会。还可开展各种活动,鼓励学生交际。

第一课时

一、教学目标

1.掌握四会单词:younger, older, taller, shorter, longer。 2.能认读句型:How tall are you ? I’m 1.61 meters. You’re older than me. 二、教学重点?

一、教学目标

1、能听懂、会说单词:hall, meter/metre ,than, both How tall is it? Maybe 4 meters. That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It’s taller than both of us together .并能在情景中运用。

2.能听懂Let’s try,并完成任务。? 二、教学重点

能听懂、会说That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It’s taller than both of us together . How tall are you ? I’m 1.65 meters.并能在情景中运用。? 三、教学难点?

本课时出现了最高级tallest,让学生对最高级有初步概念。

四、教学准备?

1.请两个胖瘦不一样的孩子到讲台上T:Who is thin? S: A is thin.

T:Who is heavy? S:B is heavy

T: Yes, A is thin. B is heavy.(板书 thin, heavy)

2.选两个个子较瘦的孩子:T: They are thin. Who is thinner? S:A is thinner.

T: 板书thinner,提醒孩子们观察thinner的写法。再用相同的方法教heavier.

3选两个大小不一样的书包进行比较,引出big, small. T : Which is the bigger schoolbag? What color is it? Ss: The yellow schoolbag is bigger.(板书big _ bigger) T: Which is the smaller one? What color is it? S: The red one. (板书small_ smaller)

4.做一个强壮的手势教strong,抽两个孩子做相同的手势比较,教stronger.

T: Ask one boy pupil: How heavy are you? Help him answer: I’m 54 kilograms.

T: 出示单词卡片教学单词:shadow , lower, smarter,并板书。教读学生跟读。

2. 拿一个气球让学生吹T:The balloon is becoming bigger and bigger. 板书become,教读。

3. T: Spring is coming! The sky is cleaner and the sun is brighter. Can you think of any other changes? Look at the four pictures and tick.

归纳总结形容词变化规则:

(1)直接在形容词后加 er 如:tall,short,young,old,long,small,strong

(2)以y结尾的形容词,要先把y改为i ,再加 er 如:heavy,easy,sunny,funny,angry

(3)以重读闭音节结尾的形容词,先双写末尾的辅音字母,再加 er

如:thin,big,hot,fat,sad
