Teaching Aims and Demands (1)Knowledge Objects In this unit, the students learn to talk about kinds of transportation, how long it takes to go place , and how far apart places are. (2) Ability Objects To improve the students, ability of listening, reading, speaking (3) Moral Objects The students can enable care for each other whenever crossing the roads and pay attention to the sings of traffic. 2. Teaching Key Point To master the Key vocabulary and the target language presented. 3. Teaching Difficulty How to use the Key vocabulary the target language presented . 4. Step II Learn the new words. subway n. 地铁;地下火车take the subway 乘坐地铁 train n. 火车 take the train乘坐火车 Step III Section A la Fist ask students to look at the picture. And read the sample sentences to them. Ask them to repeat. Then let the class say how other students in the pictures get to school. Read the phrases to them to writ them in the box and add other ways to get to school. Then check the answers. Step IV IB First ask the class to say what each person is doing. Write the phrases on the board. Then tell the class to hear o recording. Point out the names of the students in the box. Ask the class to complete the activity individually. Step V IC Pairwork Ask two students to read the dialogue in the speech bubbles to the class. Have the class work with a partner. 8. Teaching Procedures Step I Greet the class and check the homework. Step II 2a Listen and repeat. Step III2b Write the correct number under the word. Step IV2c Look at the transportation picture. Play two conversations. Please listen carefully and put a checkmark to the kinds of transportation they talk about. This time ask students to put a checkmark before a picture number. Then check the answers. Step V2d Look at the sample dialogue. I’ll ask two students to read it to the class. Then ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class. Step VI Grammar Focus Review the grammar box. Ask students to say the statements and responses. Step VII Blackboard Design The Third Period I. How can you get to school? How long does it take? Then ask the class open their book at page 21.Get them look at the reading passage. And ask some students to read it to class. Have the class look at the questions in the box. And write the answers on the lines. At last check the answers. Step IV After finishing 3a,ask some students how their different to Lin Fei. Step V 3b Show the picture and the time and distance on the screen. Ask one student to name one form and transportation. Ask other students to name the other three. Then show students the example in the speech bubble. Have tow students read it to class. Ask the class to work a partner. Let them make their own conversation using the information with the picture on the screen. At last ask a pair of students to act out their conversation. Step VI Homework Finish off the workbook exercise. The Fourth Period I. Teaching Aims and Demands a) Knowledge Objects Key vocabulary. Oral practice. b) Ability Objects Listening skill. Show some pictures on the screen. Teach the class some key words. Ask the students to repeat these words. Then let the students open the books at page 26.point out the blank line in front of each numbered phrase. Have the class match each phrase with a picture by writing the letter. Then check the answers. Step III Group Mural Tape together several pieces of large chart paper and ask the students to use colored market to make transportation mural. Step IV 1b pairwork First ask two students read the dialogue to the class. Then ask different pairs of students to present their lowversations to the class. Step V 2a First ask the students to read the list of information that Tomas wants to know. Tell the class what transportation and bus stop mean. Then ask the class to listen the recording . And put a checkmark in front of each thing that Tomas wants to know. At last check the answers. Step VI 2b Show two sets of pictures on the screen . First ask a different students to say what kind of transportation each picture shows. Tell the class picture1 shows riding a bike to the subway, taking the subway to the bus and walking from bus stop to the school. Play the recording for the students , check the anwers. Step VII Groupwork Let the class tell how Nina gets to school. Ask the students to use the pictures in 2b. And write these sentences on the board. Fist one student asks Nina . Then the other students answer. Ask some students to say their descriptions to the class. The Fifth Period I. Teaching Aims and Demands a) Knowledge Objects Key vocabulary. Reading passage. b) Ability Objects Listening skill. Writing skill. Reading. c) Moral Object We should help each other and make progress together. II. Teaching Key Points
