教 学 基 本 内 容 及 设 计 Part I Warming-up 20 minutes Task 1 5 minutes Work in pairs and decide which picture show the correct way of after-sales service. Task 2 15 minutes Work in groups of four and discuss the question. Objective: Learn to deal with complains. Part II New words in Reading A 15 minutes Objective: Ss can get familiar with the new words and expressions, etc.. Steps: ? Ss listen to the new words and expressions, etc. ? Ss read the new words and expressions, etc. Part III Discussion before Reading A 10 minutes Objective: Ss get ready to know about basic computer maintenance.. Steps: ? Ss work in pairs or small groups to survey the questions. Write any useful vocabulary on the board.. ? When Ss have finished talking, get one or two pairs to present an oral report of what they find out. Give each speaker a time limit. ? The rest of the class should listen and compare the answers and be prepared to discuss with the speakers. Part IV Reading A Language Points 40 minutes Paragraph 1 1. improvement: n. an act of improving or a statement of being improved e.g. We need to carry out some improvements to the computer system. Paragraph 2 2. remove: v. take something or someone away from a place. e.g. I guess they removed me from the guest list. 3. regularly: adv. often e.g. I do morning exercise regularly. Paragraph 5 4. removal: n. the act of removing or being remove. e.g. The removal of these blocks will take quite a while.
