The King，hearing about this，immediately sent words，asking him to forgive the two concubines for this time．But Sun Wu said，“In the army，even the King’s order can be rejected by the general if necessary．”Thus he had the two concubines put to death after all．Now there appeared a real army of maids．all paying attention to the strict rules with- out slack．

吴王听说孙武要斩他的爱姬，急忙派人向孙武讲情，可是孙武说：“将在军中，君命有所不受!”遂命左右将两女队长斩了。至
此，宫女们人人严守军纪，不敢有丝毫的松懈。
